Shaheena Begum age 35 residing in Sonerwani Bandipora belongs to a poor family with two kids, her husband is a laborer with monthly income of Rs 9000/-. She has to support her Mother-in-Law (Blind), father-in-Law (paralyzed) and two kids. Her economic conditions were severe as most of the money was used in medicines of her in laws.
Shaheena Joined JKRLM (UMEED) in 2019 (SHG MashaAllah)believing that she will overcome the economic and mental problems and started saving 25 rupees weekly. In 2019 she took an amount of Rs 20000/ as SHG loan and brought poultry birds earning Rs: 35000/- as profit. Again in 2020 she took VO loan of Rs 20000/- and started honey cultivation by rearing wild breed in traditional method. She sold 70 Kgs of pure Desi honey and make Rs: 60000/-.
By attending regular meetings and trainings her vision was boosted and she started thinking of large scale business. BTC was a ray of Hope for her and visited very often for overall development. She saved maximum amount of her earnings from poultry and honey business and brought a plan to start rice and floor mill.
In 2021 keeping the family conditions in mind Shaheena take 1 lakh from bank and 3.5 lakhs from CLF as CLF loan and established Rice mill using the same shaft she also installed floor mill and grinder. She and Her husband are working at the mill which is located in their backyard.
Now Shaheena is earning a handsome money from the project and has kept her husband and other three SHG members as employee. From September 2021 to January she had repaid and amount of Rs: 100000/- to CLF back, is sure to clear the whole loan by end of this year (2022).
